Please reach us at info@dogsgonewalking.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Dogs Gone Walking LLC offers dog walking and pet sitting services for dogs and cats. Your pet(s) will receive three to four visits per day in the comfort of your own home. Visits include walks, playtime, feeding, water bowl refreshing and lots of TLC. Your pet care provider can also bring in the mail, take care of other house pets like birds or fish, water plants and provide crime-deterrent measures.
We understand that plans change and you may need to cancel services last minute. We try to be as flexible as possible and will not charge for a cancellation unless we are in route to your home. If you need to cancel visits, the sooner you let us know the better so that we can contact your pet care provider and plan accordingly.
We require a meet and greet prior to scheduling your first visit. During the meet and greet we will run through all of the questions you have as well as your preferences and instructions. This is the perfect chance for you to see if we are the right fit, whether you trust us and how we interact with your pets. The Meet and Greet is an essential part of the booking process. We take this opportunity to talk about your pets, our policies and what you can expect from our visits. We will also collect a key at this time.
Insurance is absolutely paramount to protect everyone - your pet care providers, your pets, and the general public.
Employees working for Dogs Gone Walking are covered by Travelers Insurance which includes: Public Liability (should an animal cause an accident or injury or damage someone else’s property); Care Custody and Control (in case the animal is injured or lost); Non-Negligent Cover (covers accidental injury to an animal in our care) and Loss of Keys just in case we misplace them.
You hope that it will never be needed but knowing that your pet care provider is trained in pet first aid and can act quickly in case the worst happens should be near the top of your list of questions. Our pet care providers are all certified pet first aiders. This is an essential part of their training.
We will go through our service agreement with you during the consultation. We also perform a behavior assessment of your pets through observation and by asking you questions about them such as how they react to other dogs. This helps us to build up a profile of your pets so that we can better meet their needs and tailor their visits accordingly.
We use Time To Pet scheduling software. The software automates and simplifies the process of scheduling your visits and managing your account. You can communicate with our team of pet care professionals through the software app and will receive a detailed report after each visit is complete.
We do not charge on a per-pet basis; instead, our fees are based on each visit. The charges are determined by factors such as the number of pets we'll be caring for and the average duration of a visit. This ensures that you receive fair and consistent pricing tailored to your specific needs. If you have further questions about our pricing structure or services, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're here to assist you!
We accept cash, check or debit or credit card through our scheduling software.
Yes! We provide services 365 days per year. There is an additional charge of $12.00 per visit on all Federal Holidays and Easter as well as a charge of $6.00 per visit on Mother's Day, Father's Day, Memorial Day weekend, Labor Day weekend, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve.
The perfect length of time really depends on your pets, and you know your pets best! We will plan on spending at least 25-30 minutes in your home or on a walk with your dog(s). We also offer 45 and 60-minute visits. For your peace of mind, please know that we will stay as long as needed for your pets. If your pet needs a feeding while we’re there and prefers their food out of our hands, or needs an extra few minutes outside, we surely will accommodate. We’ve been providing this service for over 14 years so we’ve done it all - whether that be an extra few minutes for zoomies after a nighttime poop, some cuddle time, or hand feeding a picky pup - we want your pets to be as comfortable as possible while you’re away.
Yes! We work as a team and several of our team members will be introduced so that they are familiar with your home and your pets so that each person can easily step in and take over. If anything were to happen to one of our team members, we can step in and reassign any effected visits to another team member, making the transition seamless.
We offer you peace of mind by ensuring that your pet(s) are cared for as instructed and that your pet(s) feel loved and safe. We will send you a detailed visit report after each visit. The report card shows the completion of your pet(s) basic needs and will also include pictures and a GPS map of the route we took if we walked your dog(s).
No matter the weather, we are committed to ensuring your pets receive the care they deserve. We understand that safety is a top priority, so if you are home with your dog, we'll happily cancel the scheduled dog walks. In cases of extreme weather conditions where it's unsafe to proceed, we have your emergency contact or neighbor's information on hand. Your pets' well-being is our utmost concern, and we'll always take appropriate measures to guarantee their safety and happiness.
Mid-day dog walks are perfect for days you are working long hours. Your dog walker can also feed your puppy or spend time playing in the backyard. *Mid-day visits are scheduled between 10 am and 2 pm Monday thru Friday and are 25 to 30 minutes.
